By using the Backtester Chrome extension or visiting this website (backtester.eu), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the extension or website.

2. Description of Service

Backtester is a free Chrome extension that provides manual backtesting and trade journaling tools for use on TradingView charts. It is a record-keeping and analysis tool only.

3. No Financial Advice

Backtester does not provide financial, investment, or trading advice. The extension is a journaling and analytics tool — it does not generate trade signals, recommend positions, or predict market outcomes. Any trading decisions you make are yours alone. You should consult a licensed financial advisor before making any investment decisions.

4. Backtested Performance Disclaimer

Backtested results do not guarantee future performance. Manual backtesting simulates hypothetical trades on historical data. Actual trading involves real market conditions, fees, slippage, and liquidity constraints that backtesting cannot replicate. Past or backtested results are not indicative of future results.

Trading and investing in financial markets involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The extension and website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all versions of TradingView.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Backtester and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the extension or website — including but not limited to trading losses, lost profits, or data loss — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the extension and website.

7. Intellectual Property

The Backtester name, logo, website design, and extension code are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the extension or website without prior written permission.

8. Third-Party Services

Backtester operates on TradingView, a third-party platform. TradingView is not affiliated with Backtester and has its own terms of service. We are not responsible for TradingView's availability, functionality, or content.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Polish courts.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. The date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
